What is Pronucleon™ Technology?

Pronucleon™ is a platform technology using custom-synthesized peptides that allow detection of misfolding proteins. Typical recognition molecules (e.g. antibodies, aptamers) used in currently available diagnostic assays for amyloid proteins are not particularly sensitive to protein conformational state.

An example of the implementation of Presympto's technology is the creation of peptides that are sensitive and specific for detecting oligomeric forms of Aβ for Alzheimer's disease diagnosis.
